Two important shows from the 1972 UK Ziggy Stardust tour, both recently uploaded by Homebrew giving me the opportunity to compare them to my original tapes.
The Kingston Poly show is a cleaned transfer from my tape as I felt it had a bit more potential with less distortion and clearer vocals and had not already been remastered, the only cheat I did was add the 10 second intro which was missing.
The Festival Hall Show upto I feel free is a cleaned transfer from my tape as I felt it was a clearer brighter recording. Side two of my tape was unfortunately awful, so the second half of the show is from the MWP torrent with a bit of hiss removed and that dreadful low pitch hum. Removal of this hum brought this recording back to life in a way I never dreamed possible, you can actually hear Lou singing now!
It was then just a case of matching the two halfs together.
